Tamper Proof Global Systems is the provider of the World’s only 6-sided intrusion detection system for maritime containers.

Every TPGS container is equipped with TPGS’ unique detection sensor, which lines all 6 surfaces of the container.  The detection sensor has a resolution of 6 mm (1/4”) and is digital (on/off) – it does not require any calibration in service, is not prone to false alarms and is repairable, in the event of accidental damage.  The sensor is connected to a choice of communications and tracking modules

The TPGS fully patented solution to the perennial problem of theft and tampering with freight is cost effective and has been successfully tested by the United Kingdom’s Loss Prevention Certification Board, where it achieved the highest available standard.

GSM and / or the Iridium satellite cluster communicate alarms.  Customers can select a preferred tracking and communications provider but TPGS has partner arrangements with Peartrack and Impeva Labs, for GSM and Iridium respectively.  Both of these providers offer “Back Office” support systems which allow users to track and monitor their cargo.

The TPGS detection system can be applied to many other enclosed spaces including:

Below you will find extensive explanations of how the TPGS detection system is installed, what sensor is used, and how the alarm communicates with the client.

Installation:
The following photograph shows the inside of a typical TPGS container.

The detection sensor requires no maintenance, no calibration and is designed and tested for the life of a maritime container.

The TPGS detection liner can be engineered to be compatible with food stuffs and to be fire retardant.

The TPGS intrusion detection sensor will, in future, be available with optical fiber instead of, or in addition to, the wire conductor. At this time, the TPGS solution is commercially available with the wire conductor based detection sensor.

Sensor:
This is based on our unique binary (pass/fail) sensor liner, to provide the only credible solution to the container threat problems of theft and interference (the insertion of noxious, toxic or explosive substances).

The wires shown in the figure above are spaced such that any breach of 3 mm (1/8”) or more will cut at least one wire which will cause an alarm signal to be generated. The 6mm overall claim is based on the tests actually carried out at LPCB.

The fabric is used to build a continuous detection sensor liner inside the container – the doors are also lined and connect to the main system through multiple randomized connectors. The detection sensor interfaces directly to logic gates in the communications module: any break in the sensor will trigger an alarm.

Although TPGS can offer a turnkey operation for tracking and alarm indication, we are also aware that many shippers have their own Back Office facilities and equipment preferences. For these customers, we can provide a tailored system or one into which the customer installs their own preferred communications solution.
